Welcome! Thank you for visiting my home on the World Wide Web. This site was created to show my fine art photos and offers an interactive viewing of proofs. So far, digitizing film images has been time consuming, but I will add more photos as time permits. Right now my priority is getting the site up and running.

I have often been asked about my background in photography, so I thought this might be a good place to provide more information. I purchased my first camera, an inexpensive Minolta in 1995 when I thought photography was just an excuse to get away from the intensity of studying chemistry in college. Now, many years later, I've graduated from college, but gotten away from doing chemistry. I still have a full time job, which pays for the bills and equipment upgrades, but I am more or less immersed in the art of photography. I find it therapeutic to create images that document the feelings in time and place. A lot have changed since that first camera; I have gained operational skills and knowledge of photography through structured classroom learning, self guided training and a lot of experimentations. Guidance from retired photojournalist, Nic Wickliff has been invaluable. Nic spent his professional career as a photojournalist for some of the most well known national publications and news media. I upgraded my equipment to include digital Nikon cameras. Although, I have the capacity for a full studio, I prefer to shoot on location to take advantage of natural lights and environmental backgrounds. I found most of my clients are more relax in natural environments than in a formal studio.

I operate out of Portland, OR, but I will travel to other locations with advance notice. I specialized in portraits, special events, and fine art photography for both personal and commercial usages. Please take a moment to look at my photos!
